Once again another scam has spread throughout Facebook. An increasing number of Facebookusers are having their accounts compromised. Each newly compromised account is then used by the hackers and scammers to propagate their scam further. You don’t need to be an idiot to have your account compromised. If you are caught off guard for a second, you may accidentally fall for one of these scams. After I received this new Facebook Dislike Button Scam I immediately create a post about these new Facebbok scam and I wanted to share it with everybody so that they well be aware about this new scam. Facebook users are once again under attack from scammers. These scumbags make money every time one of these apps is completed. They are just doing their job ofmaking money by tricking people. The scammers make money every time one of these out of unsuspecting users. Scammers can often use persuasive techniques that can be hard to resist. This time, users are being enticed to spam their friends, fill in scam surveys, and hand over personal information via the promise of a “Dislike Button” for their Facebook account.
Facebook now has a dislike button! Click ‘Enable Dislike Button’ to turn on the new feature!
Upon clicking on the looks like a recently added genuine Facebook feature, users are exposed to a “Follow the steps below to get the Dislike button” instructions page similar to the one seen in theOsama Bin Laden scam or Verify My Account Scam. Once the users copy and paste the obfuscated JavaScript in their browsers, all of their friends will be spamvertised with a wall post about the non-existent Dislike feature. The campaigners appear to be monetizing the campaign through a survey scam.
The fact that the “Enable Dislike Button” link does not appear in the main part of the message, but lower down alongside “Link” and “Comment”, is likely to fool some users into believing that it is genuine. There is no official dislike button provided by Facebook and there isn’t ever likely to be. But it remains something that many Facebook users would like, and so scammers have often used the offer of a “Dislike button” as bait for the unwary. Facebook users should be wary of any posts offering a “Dislike Button”, even if the message claims that the button is “official”. At this time, there is no official dislike button offered by Facebook. So, Beware of Facebook scam!
