Lenovo on Monday officially announced the wafer-thin ThinkPad X1 laptop. Scheduled to go on sale today with a starting price of US$1,399, the X1 is .65 inches at its thinnest and tips the scales at 3.5 pounds. Here’s a quick rundown of the specs:
  • Display: 13.3-inch Gorilla Glass screen
  • Processor: 2.1 GHz Intel Core i3-2310M or 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2520M
  • RAM: 8GB DDR3
  • Storage: 160GB SSD
  • Connections: USB 3.0, eSATA/USB 2.0, HDMI, DisplayPort
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet LAN
The battery is said to last 10 hours on a single charge. When it does run out of charge, the battery only takes 30 minutes to reach an 80 minute charge thanks to a proprietary technology called RapidCharge.
