This may sound a little hokey, but I encourage you to keep reading and try these games out for yourself. Both of the games, QWOP and GIRP, have seen positive reviews and comments, and they are free browser based games. Let’s take a closer look.
QWOP
Dr. Bennett Foddy.
Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Director,
Programme on Ethics of the New Biosciences,
Oxford Martin School, Oxford University
With QWOP, you have to to control the runner’s leg and thigh muscles by repeatedly hiting the Q,W,O and P keys on the keyboard. I’d give tips on how to play, but I don’t really have any good ones. If you make a successful run, Olympic music plays and makes you feel like you accomplished something (because you have!). Our very own Ashish Mundhra has finished the game, and I’m sure he’d give you some tips if you ask.
Oh, I forgot to add something. It obeys all of the laws of physics. After playing this game, you will respect your brain much more for how hard it actually is to walk, much less, run.
Screenshot looks funny, eh? That’s the best I could manage. Try it out yourself, and you will know-Play QWOP.
GIRP
I forgot to mention, as time advances, there will be a water level, and it will be constantly rise, so you have to climb quickly to make sure you don’t drown.
Sounds like a piece of cake? Well, try it out and know for yourself- Play GIRP.
